On the 6th july Dalai Lama turned 75 and the tibetan community organized a bicycle ride around stockholm to promote awareness for the peaceful dialouge His Holiness has been working for as leader of the tibetan people.

His Holiness Sakya Trizin arrived to Stockholm on 7th July as part of invitation from the Sakya Changchup Chöling to hold Kalchakra teaching. On his day of arrival he held a private audience for a Tibetan community in Sweden.

49 days of mourning (Kyegudo Earthquake)
Today the Tibetan Community in Sweden gathered in Stockholm to commemorate the 49th day (བཞི་དགུ) since the tragic earthquake in Tibet. The purpose of the prayer ceremony according to tradition in Tibetan Buddhism is to ensure a peaceful journey for the departed souls. Tibetans all over the world has taken this day to show solidarity with the victims and their families still suffering in Tibet.
